We have a proud tradition of talented players who excel on and off the field.  We anticipate having 6 levels of play. Varsity, JV, JV2, B Squad, 9A, and 9B. Tryouts are a very intense experience in a relatively short period of time and extremely competitive, especially within Varsity and JV placements. Players need to be prepared to handle adverse conditions and arrive at their top level with the regards to fitness, skills, tactical speed and decisions. *Please note that fitness tests will be conducted for potential Varsity and Junior Varsity candidates: click here to view

*Please note: 8th graders who elect to tryout may not be guaranteed a spot on a team and will need to provide their own transportation to Minnetonka High School and/or games if the bus departs during their regular scheduled school day. Additionally, since middle school does not end until 3:55pm, practice time may be limited depending on the team they are on. Consider closely if this is manageable for the player/family.

Tryouts begin Monday, August 17th, 2026 (scroll down to view schedule). Players are required to be registered before participating. Click on the Fall Sports Registration Link above which opens in early July.

Most of the players in our program play competitive soccer during the off-season at the ECNL, GA, MN NPL, Premier, or TCSL National or Regional levels, although players of all levels are welcome to tryout.  A player may tryout for any team at or above their grade level.
