Minnetonka High School Women's Soccer has won 3 State Championships; 2001, 2013, 2018

The 2001 team was the first to achieve this honor and was led by Head Coach Kieran Monaghan. This Minnetonka High School Skipper Hall of Fame team dreamed big dating back to middle school and ultimately ran the table going 21-0 and capturing Conference, Section, and State Championships with a final 2-1 win vs Stillwater. Along the way, adding history to their story by still holding the most consecutive wins for high school girls soccer with 26 in a row.

The 2013 team was led by a very talented team including Ms. Soccer and All-American Liz Endy. With a motto to START UNKOWN, FINISH UNFORGETTABLE, they certainly did. Winning the Section Title in OT to secure a birth back at the State Tournament. After a successful quarterfinal win, drama unfolded in the semifinals with a remarkable come from behind 3-2 semifinal win (after being down 0-2). In the final, a corner kick finish led to a 1-0 Championship win vs. Lakeville North and brought a 2nd Star to our program.

The 2018 team was a loaded group but had to overcome higher ranked teams beginning the tournament seeded 5th. Finding a way to get hot when it counted; from a 2-1 come from behind victory in the last 3 minutes over Edina, an overtime golden goal in the Section Final, and PK shoot out wins in both the quarterfinals and semifinals, this team made EVERY MINUTE COUNT taking down both the #1 seed and the #2 seeds to help capture our 3rd Championship knocking off Wayzata 1-0 in the final.
