SCOTT STORLIE
Varsity Assistant Coach
Beginning his 11th season as a Varsity Assistant Coach after spending five seasons as an assistant coach for the boys' program at Minneapolis Southwest High School, Scott was instrumental in training both field players and goalkeepers, helping to secure two penalty kick shoot-out wins during the playoffs while winning the 2018 State Championship with a 1-0 shutout.
Storlie was named the Section 2AA Assistant Coach of the Year for 2017 for his outstanding work helping lead in the development of players and his servant leadership towards the program. He has a vast skill set from coaching goalkeepers, working with the backs and midfield, running fitness sessions, developing team culture and psychology and helping cover games at all levels.
Scott is a former Gustavus Adolphus standout (2000-2004) where he garnered All-MIAC honors and helped lead the team to two NCAA National Tournament appearances. A four-year regular in the midfield for the Gusties, Scott played in 73 of 28 games during his career. He played high school ball at St. Louis Park High School where he was a 1st Team All-Conference honoree. He has earned the MYSA E License and is pursuing his USSF D License. Coach Storlie currently teaches Spanish Immersion and Social Studies at Minnetonka Middle School East and Minnetonka Middle School West. Scott and his wife have two daughters named Carly and Sylvie.
